Contract Highlights
Scope of award includes:
[1] Inspera Assessment, Inspera Integrity Browser, Inspera Resilience and Inspera Scan
Inspera Assessment is a comprehensive digital platform for end-to-end candidate assessment, featuring role-based administrative controls. It allows candidates to access, take, and view their assessments, including grades and feedback based on individual assessment settings. The platform includes built-in support for candidates with diverse learning needs, and supervisors can monitor assessment sessions in real-time. It facilitates the creation and sharing of questions and question sets, comprising both automatically and manually graded question types.
These can include multimedia stimuli, and design settings can be customized at the question paper level. Importing and exporting questions and sets is possible in IMS QTI format. Inspera Assessment allows to streamline assessment scheduling, staff and student allocation, security management, grading, and post-assessment configurations. Monitoring can occur at the session or centralized level based on user permissions. It allows various marking workflows and enables the creation and sharing of feedback with candidates. The platform includes diverse reporting functionalities accessible throughout the system.
Add-Ons:
Inspera Integrity Browser is a lockdown browser, which prevents candidates’ access to all unauthorized programs and resources for closed book exams. Security settings can be configured on an exam level. This is not standalone software but requires and integrates tightly with Inspera Assessment.
Inspera Resilience is a remote proctoring solution that enables remote and semi-automated proctoring of candidates and post review of the integrity of the session. Inspera Resilience is not standalone software. It requires both Inspera Integrity Browser and Inspera Assessment.
Inspera Scan allows students to complete an assessment partially or even fully on paper - including digitizing drawings - while still keeping the rest of the examination, marking and feedback process digital. This is not standalone software but requires and integrates tightly with Inspera Assessment.
The purchase of Inspera Assessment is required for the use of the Inspera Integrity Browser, Inspera Resilience and the Inspera Scan, which work as paid separate add-ons to the Inspera Assessment solution.
[2] Inspera Originality
Inspera Originality is a software solution designed to assess textual content for potential similarities with other sources. Using an advanced similarity checking algorithm, Inspera Originality evaluates the originality of submitted text, identifying potential matches and providing detailed source identification. The platform offers translation matching capabilities for specified languages other than the one in which the text is composed, along with artificial intelligence authorship analysis, if selected by the user. Inspera Originality comprises three distinct modules – Inspera Originality – Similarity, Inspera Originality – Translation, and Inspera Originality – AI Authorship Prediction.
Inspera Originality - Similarity: the similarity analysis module quantifies the extent of resemblance within a given supported language, providing a tool for detecting instances where different documents share common content or convey similar ideas within said language, providing the source of the similar content;
Inspera Originality - Translation: the translation analysis module detects similarities across various languages, being capable of revealing instances where translated content is incorrectly presented as original or unique, providing the source of the similar content; and
Inspera Originality - AI Authorship Prediction: the AI Authorship Prediction module identifies sentences characterized by patterns and anomalies typically associated with artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, providing a feature that predicts the potential involvement of AI in a document by giving a percentage. This module is applicable solely to English language texts.
[3] Inspera Proctoring Recorded & Live
Inspera Proctoring is a suite of remote proctoring products that allows monitoring of candidates via their camera, microphone and recording their screen. This can either be live or recorded for post exam review. While event flags assist the reviewer, decisions are made by a human. Candidates have confidence in their institutional policies and decisions driving decisions on their conduct. Inspera Proctoring Recorded & Live is available for integration to Inspera Assessment or to a Learning Management System.
